Emergency Dental
Dental Emergencies we often deal with include:
- wisdom teeth and root canals
- tooth aches and pains
- tooth filings falling out or breaking
- crown, veneer, or bridge breaking, cracking or falling out
Contact us immediately for a toothache. The sooner a dentist can review the situation, the sooner you can enjoy relief, and often the better the options that may be available to you.
Tooth Ache
If you suffer from a tooth ache, please contact a dentist as soon as you can. You can take painkillers you are already familiar with, such as Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen. Be sure to read the label and read the directions carefully. Always follow your doctor’s advice.
Swelling
If you have a swelling, it is likely caused by an infection. The source of infection could be from your tooth or gum tissue. Infections in the mouth can be serious, so it is important to be seen immediately in order to resolve any problems.
Crown falling off
If this has happened to you, try and keep it safe. Bring it with to your appointment and the dentist will examine whether it can be recemented.
Tooth knocked out
If your tooth gets knocked out, pick it up by the crown (the white part) and avoid touching the root. If the tooth is dirty, rinse it under cold water for 10 seconds and try to place it back in the socket and bite gently on paper towel to keep it in place. If this is not possible, place it in a glass of milk and brought to a dentist as soon as possible.
